Ruth near death?

[edit]

Babe Ruth was hardly "near death" in the late 1930s. He wasn't even diagnosed with his terminal cancer until shortly before his death in the late 1940s. 72.104.146.188 (talk) 16:58, 4 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]

I agree. Just wondering why you started a talk and didn't simply correct the mistake. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 108.179.21.226 (talk) 15:08, 25 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Charity Red Sox Games?

[edit]

A number of years ago some former members of the Boston Red Sox played once a year a game against The Bangor Maine Fire Department. I was wondering if those games counted. Bbonds775 (talk) 16:55, 5 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Charity games are wonderful things but they are not the same as an Old-Timers' Day. Dmoore5556 (talk) 21:02, 5 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]
