Motivation behind this page

[edit]

The motivation behind creating this page, is to expose the structure or hierarchy of the governmental decision by the State of Denmark to increase and double the country's woodland area from 12% to 25%. In order to reach this goal, many new and smaller patches of woodlands have been planted and raised since 1988. It can be confusing to list and describe those woodlands individually, without mentioning this overall framework from which they spawned. It is hoped this page can help clear things up.

The afforestation project is important in many ways, like securing drinking water, tackling CO2 emissions and storage, increase biodiversity, and many more.
