I think East Asia should have more of Mongolia and tibet
"and a large but fluctuating portion of Manchuria, Mongolia and Tibet" (orwell) CD967119 (talk) 17:13, 11 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I'd be happy to answer any of your questions regarding my color and design choices for the map. Regarding your suggestion that the map should contain more of Mongolia, I disagree. The region was made gray, like all the other regions, to indicate contention between the 3 great powers that exist in 1984. Mongolia was essentially a Soviet client state following year 1924, although it was much closer to Beijing than Moskva geographically. I believe as a consequence of this, it would fall under neither Eastasia's nor Eurasia's define sphere, rather making up land of contention. In the book it is described that all areas indicated within the red rectangle are all fought over. Why are the superpowers shown controlling parts of it, like for example Eastasia controlling South-East Asia, despite it being in the rectangle. Sunnybuthappy (talk) 11:24, 21 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I don't know why everyone is caught up by the sodding map. What is it that people now can only learn by looking at pretty pictures rather than actually, err, reading? ——Serial Number 5412911:50, 21 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
