[edit]

Napa in mixed case refers to the Napa Valley. NAPA is an acronym and refers to the National Automotive Parts Association and is styled in all caps. If Napa redirects here, then it might be necessary to create a Napa Valley page and redirect to that. There are also other "napa" references, Ayia Napa and Nappa leather.Coromero (talk) 14:22, 30 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Um why does Napa go here? Surely, the Napa Valley is at least as notable?

Fair use rationale for Image:NAPAlogo.jpg

[edit]

Image:NAPAlogo.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Genuine Parts Annual Company Report

[edit]

The citation "Genuine Parts Company Annual Report file:///C:/Users/362937/Downloads/2014+Annual+Report%20(1).pdf". {{cite web}}: |access-date= requires |url= (help); Missing or empty |url= (help) was removed with this edit made by FreeRangeFrog, but was subsequently re-added a few days later by Coromero. I have removed it again for the same reasons given by FreeRangeFrog in their edit sum. This particular source may be acceptable per WP:PSTS, but linking to the C drive of someone's personal computer is not. Sources do not have to be online (though it helps), but they must be published and available for verification. There's no way to verify what it saved onto a person's computer's hard drive. - Marchjuly (talk) 00:49, 2 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]

National Automotive Parts AssociationNAPA Auto Parts – The majority of hits on google seem to use "NAPA Auto Parts" or "Napa Auto Parts" as opposed to the full name, including official sources. Evidence points to "NAPA Auto Parts" being the WP:COMMONNAME. GhostOfDanGurney (talk) 16:06, 9 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Bad parts, do you have your receipt

[edit]

Do by phone number , or credit card. Build a history. I’ve bought three common disturber for my fleet of vehicles. And every time I go to the parts store to replace a lifetime warranty. Do you have your receipt no well we can’t help you. NAPA don’t make no damn difference you’ll get your money regardless. But the store says oh we can’t replace your parts unless we have a receipt .

When you have a lot of vehicles, and I use you for a supplier, and you screw us like this. This cost me millions. You need to do a different quit being such a cheapskate. 24.237.158.234 (talk) 08:36, 10 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]

COI disclosure and request

[edit]

Hello! My name is Angie and I'm an employee of Genuine Parts Company. I have created an account here to make some suggestions for a few pages related to the company, including NAPA Auto Parts. I'll do my best to follow Wikipedia's rules for conflict of interest editing. This means I'll be asking editors to review my suggestions rather than making the changes myself. Thanks! AG GPC (talk) 21:46, 12 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]

I would like to suggest removing these parts of the Operations section:

1. "In April 2013, Genuine Parts Company acquired Exego Group, a leading automotive parts and accessories distributor in Australasia.[1] The company sells automotive accessories and parts under the Repco name in Australia and New Zealand, but in 2017 began branding with the NAPA banner, first with a store in Logan City, Queensland, and since re-branding their Ashdown Ingram stores Australia wide, to fall under the NAPA Auto Parts banner as well.[2]"

2. "In September 2017, Genuine Parts Company acquired Alliance Automotive Group (AAG), a leading European distributor of vehicle parts, tools and workshop equipment. AAG is the second largest parts distribution platform in Europe and focuses on light vehicle and commercial vehicle replacement parts. Headquartered in London, AAG has 7,500 employees and over 1,800 company-owned stores and affiliated outlets across France, the U.K. and Germany.[3]"

  3. ^ "Genuine Parts Company Company Information". Hoover's Inc. Retrieved 8 September 2018.

Reason: These two paragraphs are more focused on Genuine Parts Company (GPC) than NAPA Auto Parts and are based on old company documents, not news coverage.

Removing this content will make the article shorter but hopefully easier to update when I suggest some text additions and other updates specific to NAPA. Thanks for your help, editors! AG GPC (talk) 21:46, 12 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]
