Preceding Names

[edit]

I know that this is an old university that has been renamed several times, and I think the preceding names should be referenced in the article. For several years this school was known as Dyke College; I don't recall at the moment the other names. Perhaps someome can help? Paulmeisel 15:45, 30 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

The story of the names and the school's history is disorganized and confusing. The way the article is written, it appears that the school has had the name "Chancellor University" several times during its history, from the 19th century. That seems unlikely. It also makes it seem as though it was called a "university" long ago. I rather doubt it! A simple chronological list, carefully using only the names that were in use at the times, would be much better. The list should be organized around the actual schools that were combined and divided and started and ended in the line leading to the present Chancellor University. (The information as written in Wikipedia looks a lot like it was taken directly from the complicated, sometimes vague, undocumented, and rather confusing account given at the Chancellor University Web site.) Clean-up

[edit]

I think this article needs serious clean-up. There is a lot of POV, specifically relating to the sports program (e.g., "The student athletes flet very betrayed considering he announced this on the last day of school.") RonSigPi 11 December 2007 (UTC)

Fair use rationale for Image:Myerslogo.jpg

[edit]

Image:Myerslogo.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.
