Neoliberal

[edit]

Neoliberal is a derogatory term applied to supporters of capitalism (not necessarily free markets) by the Left. Nicmart (talk) 08:01, 16 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]

I have deleted it. Phrases like "is regarded as" without attribution are immediate red-lights and enough in themselves to justify immediate removal per the WP:BLP policy. Also, wp:LEAD requires that the lead summarises the main points of the body and it fails that test too. --𝕁𝕄𝔽 (talk) 09:59, 16 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Regarded as is totally fine, as long as enough academic and news sources are found. There are mannny french sources for the political positioning of Barnier. 80.187.85.160 (talk) 09:36, 24 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Fine if sourced reliably. Definitely not fine otherwise. 𝕁𝕄𝔽 (talk) 12:01, 24 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Ousted

[edit]

See here. Tim O'Doherty (talk) 19:30, 4 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Indeed, but he's still the prime minister until he resigns or the president dismisses him. GoodDay (talk) 19:47, 4 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Of course, I'm not suggesting that we no longer call him the prime minister. Just that he had lost his confidence motion. Tim O'Doherty (talk) 17:54, 5 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Caretaker

[edit]

May we please avoid using "Caretaker" & just wait until he's replaced as prime minister. GoodDay (talk) 17:23, 5 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]

PS - If we do use it? Then it doesn't cover his entire tenure as prime minister. GoodDay (talk) 18:03, 5 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]

So you if we use caretaker, it will cover his entire tenure as prime minister? And also, what do you mean that Barnier was caretaker prime minister for his entire tenure? Richie1509 (talk) 18:07, 5 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Pointing out that we don't need to include "Caretaker". But if we do include, it only covers his tenure after 5 December. GoodDay (talk) 19:50, 5 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]
