Um, people age mate. --Lholden (talk) 02:17, 19 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

The picture in the link above is generally the picture used for him. I've never seen the picture in the main article before. Every picture I've ever seen of the man is very similar to the one mentioned above. Would change it myself but don't know how. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 121.73.34.62 (talk) 09:28, 4 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I've been thinking, after just seeing [1] on Flickr -- what about that photograph? That page links to [2] which suggests we'd be good to go. Any objections if I were to try? -- Jonathan Ah Kit (talk) 00:04, 23 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I agree it would be better to have the more recognisable photo of Michael Joseph on wikipedia but it would have to conform to copyright rules. Wikipedia is rightly strict on this - the image used states (from a flyer from the 1919 election) that, "This image (or other media file) is in the public domain because its copyright has expired. This applies to the United States, Canada, the European Union and those countries with a copyright term of life of the author plus 70 years." Given that the flyer is most likely self-published, it won't enter into public domain until March 2010. The only copies I can locate of the image suggested are all listed with a restrictive NZ Govt. copyright, making them unsuitable for inclusion here. Fanx (talk) 20:49, 4 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]
