This article is written in Australian English, which has its own spelling conventions (colour, realise, program, labour (but Labor Party)) and some terms that are used in it may be different or absent from other varieties of English. According to the relevant style guide, this should not be changed without broad consensus.
The original refs for this section, such as the Solomon Times article, are no longer available. There is also a 2009 article by Linda Silmalis, originally in The Sunday Telegraph, which is now behind the News Ltd. paywall. A book came out recently that features a bunch of essays and writings from various political figures, including Turnbull.
It's called 'The Centre Must Hold' and was compiled by Yair Zivan. I went to update the article to include mention to Turnbull's contributions but couldn't because I didn't have an account. I've created an account now but won't be able to update it for some time. If someone has the time, It'd be nice to see the information included.
