Birth & death dates
[edit]The Social Security Index has a "Lloyd Jacquet" born in April 1933, died in March 1972. Can't be him. A "Lloyd E Jacquet" born in July 1906, died in October 1965. Could be him, but distinctly unlikely if he was indeed a WWI Colonel. And a "Lloyd Jaquet" (no 'c') born in March 1899 and died in March 1970. Can anyone weigh in with an obituary or other source to help figure this out..? I'm not convinced that the SSDI is entirely accurate, but it ought to be.
Otto Binder's papers suggest that in 1953, Jacquet had a "complete or almost complete collection of comics from early days on" which must have made some ripples on the collectors market at some point. They're certainly a known pedigree. ntnon (talk) 02:29, 12 August 2008 (UTC)
the 1930 census has him born circa 1899 in New York. It is him, as he is married to Grace Jacquet, who is well known to have managed the shop during the war years. In 1930, he was a newspaper editor, living in Hempstead New York. Steven R. (talk) 12:01, 3 April 2009 (UTC)
