"The majority of western customer's of Leroy Merlin agree that the company should make a choice. Either support Putin's illegal invasion of an independent Ukraine by continuing operating inside Russia, or support the people of Ukraine and close all their Russian store's immediately. It's a decision based on freedom and justice or greed and murder. The Owner's of Leroy Merlin should decide which is most important to them. Support the people of Ukraine or the Russian government. If they choose the later, shame on them. Their company should be banned from doing any business at all in any western country."

This paragraph seems very unrelevant. 167.220.197.22 (talk) 15:47, 7 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Methinks the choice is already made. They chose to clear of from Ukraine, and this map needs an update. I believe there is a bank called Banque Neerlandois Paribas. Not hearing much of them. Putin likes Total(-Fina-Elf) so much, that of French companies, he only likes one even more: Lerua Merlen. --2A02:2121:652:E959:E466:D71A:B3DD:1D87 (talk) 12:25, 11 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Badly worded text

[edit]

In 2020, the company paid $335 million in taxes as a result of their operations in Russia. In 2021, the company's revenue amounted to 457 billion rubles

So first it names how much tax LM paid in dollars in 2020, then they name how much they paid next year in rubles. I found that to be confusing. Both should be in rubles or in dollars. Also needs an update for 2022 and 2023 80.198.18.220 (talk) 06:12, 25 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]

"Controversy" section

[edit]

What exactly is controversial in that section? It's simply mentioning various statements of fact. Somehow suggesting that those facts are "controversial" is strong NPOV and liable to summary deletion. 37.188.141.254 (talk) 23:13, 16 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
