This BLP seems to cherry pick information. WP:CHERRYPICK
For example, the editor cherry-picked this information ... " an LDS Church press release at that time stated that it encourages emergency preparations and self-reliance during disasters and hardships", but failed to mention the counterbalancing point from the same reference where the LDS Church also said to "avoid being caught up in extreme efforts to anticipate catastrophic events." I have since added that point to reflect a more NPOV. WP:NPOV.Dakotacoda (talk) 21:18, 21 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]
After further inspection, I removed that paragraph completely. It is established by an uncited, unsupported claim. As a BLP, if that paragraph is to be re-inserted, it needs more clarification and citation. For example "who is 'interpreting'?" and please cite sources. Original paragraph removed today: Rowe's writings and lectures at LDS firesides are sometimes interpreted as encouraging spiritual and emergency preparations, such as food storage, before signs of the end times, such as the "blood moon" from the September 2015 lunar eclipse. Though an LDS Church press release at that time stated that it encourages emergency preparations and self-reliance during disasters and hardships, it also warned its members to "avoid being caught up in extreme efforts to anticipate catastrophic events."Dakotacoda (talk) 19:08, 3 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]
I removed the following sentence: "Some media outlets have interpreted this as a condemnation of Rowe's books by the LDS Church, as this was guidance that her books would not be used as a resource for teaching curriculum." For BLPs, editors must be particularly cautious to ensure every point is well-sourced. The sentence I removed was a clear case of using "weasel words" WP:WEASELDakotacoda (talk) 21:52, 21 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]
