Reason for notability
[edit]Come on, this article is way too flattering to Mr Wilkes! One might almost think it was an advert from the tone. The reason the guy is notable at all is because he is a friend and flatmate of Robbie Williams - almost all his personal projects have sprung from this association. Along with Jeff Brazier, he is surely one of the epitomes of a person becoming famous on the back of someone else - and the article should acknowledge this. It should be pretty easy to verify this with reasonably reputable sources - anyone know of any decent profiles in the national newspapers etc? DWaterson 21:27, 18 September 2006 (UTC)
I once bumped into Jim Davidson in a restaurant, does this inflate my notability enough to warrant a Wiki page? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 79.66.237.128 (talk) 09:05, 1 May 2022 (UTC)
Agreed
[edit]I agree, it is more of a press release / marketing biog. I only looked him up because I read that he was Robbie's lover, no mention of that on the site obviously. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 82.17.158.35 (talk) 08:55, 19 February 2007 (UTC).
Long Time Friend Of Robbie Williams (Reason For Notability)
[edit]“I can't help who my best mate is — and I'm proud to death of him — he's been my best mate all my life".
“Our mums are best mates and we grew up together doing 'am dram'. But then when I released my record, the record company said we needed to get away from the 'Robbie Williams thing'.
“I told them — I can't — I'll always be associated with Robbie in the same way that he'll always be associated with 'Take That'. It's just one of those things. [1] — Preceding unsigned comment added by 79.66.246.169 (talk) 19:28, 8 June 2016 (UTC)
