जैतसर की स्थापना 1927 में महाराव जैतसी द्वारा की गई थी। एक तरफ गंगनहर की करणीजी वितरिका व दूसरी तरफ आईजीएनपी की सूरतगढ़ शाखा से कस्बा खुशहाल हैं। फसलों के उत्पादन में अग्रणी है।
