Deletion

[edit]

Whoever proposed deletion is ignorant on these issues:

  • Jaco Finlay is THE most important Native American in at least an eight hundred mile radius.
  • I am not Native American so I would like to think that Native Americans could fill in information on this page about their most important people. When and how that happens is none of my business. It's not done fast enough? I think that's racist! "He had a lot of descendents" Maybe a NA wrote that and it was the most important thing they thought to write here right now. Maybe it was a kid who is just learning to edit Wikipedia. Maybe the descendents of Finlay don't have access to computers like the rest of is. Maybe it will take a little time for them to get computers and then a little more time to learn how to use Wikipedia. In other words:

CHILL OUT

Or go to the Confederated Tribes of the Colville Reservation and spread a few laptops around with WIFI. instead of throwing your deletion notices up where you are ignorant. Or write a letter to Sherman Alexie and ask for his help. Or.. let's see - try to make Wikipedia about everything anyone would like to know about even if the actual people don't have computers!?

Sources and notability

[edit]

Please provide sources to establish the subject's notability. Of course, the need for sources goes beyond notability. Information added to an article must be verifiable, and facts included must be attributed to a reliable source. Thanks. --Evb-wiki 20:33, 3 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]
