Are we sure?
[edit]Are we sure this person really lived and was not just made up for the movie? I didn't find anything about him anywhere. Debresser (talk) 00:26, 6 February 2009 (UTC)
The article at this link (http://www.citypaper.net/articles/122895/article023.shtml) states that JJ is a composite character. Dalliance (talk) 13:06, 11 February 2009 (UTC)
- There should be a speedy criterion for tosh like this, but in the absence of one, I have sent it to Afd. – ukexpat (talk) 16:32, 11 February 2009 (UTC)
Original edits referred to history channel
[edit]The original edits referred to a "History Channel documentary" as a reference, but without anything more to go on, it's impossible to prove.
Maybe the reference saying he's a composite character got it wrong, or maybe the composite character is based on a real person by that name plus other people. Who knows? The article is in WP:AFD now. With this much uncertainty, I hope this dies there. If it is the fictional character, it's not notalbe enough to survive, so it should die as well. If it's the real person, I haven't been able to find anything, which is a strong but not certain indicator of non-notability. davidwr/(talk)/(contribs)/(e-mail) 16:53, 11 February 2009 (UTC)
- Now favoring merger with movie rather than deletion if it's a fictional character. If it survives AFD then rename it to Jack Jones (fictional character) before merger. davidwr/(talk)/(contribs)/(e-mail) 22:28, 11 February 2009 (UTC)
Merged
[edit]I completed the merge. Have a look. Debresser (talk) 14:06, 16 February 2009 (UTC)
