A tag has been placed on Imposs requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article, which appears to be about a real person, organization (band, club, company, etc.), or web content, does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable. If this is the first page that you have created, then you should read the guide to writing your first article.
If you think that you can assert the notability of the subject, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}}
to the top of the article (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the article's talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm the subject's notability under Wikipedia guidelines.
For guidelines on specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. werldwayd (talk) 02:24, 23 March 2009 (UTC)
Significance of Imposs
[edit]I have received an address to justify significance of Imposs. Actually he is a sigificant artist in Quebec and France with having own page in the French Wikipedia here: http://fr.wikipedia.org/wiki/Imposs for this Quebecois Canadian rapper, an indication of his signficance. His album is released on one of the majour record labels in Quebec K.Pone inc that contains K'Maro and two singles have come out from the album. I pleaded also to be given enough time to add references on this artist. Check the results. First for example the testimony from InfoFestival.com http://www.infofestival.com/Html/en-ca/Artist/artist20.html As a result he was nominated for best hip hop act in 2008 at the ADISQ Awards. Best francophone act during the S.O.B.A (Spounds of Blackness Awards" most prestigious for two consecutive years in 2008 and 2009 as well as MusiquePlus' "Public Choice" award. He also collaborated in a remix of Wyclef Jean with Will.I.Am as well as in a hit by K'Maro. he has had a great run with his original formation Muzion, again a significant band that had two huge albums. The number of awards won by Imposs is staggering and very impressive. Check the detailed section added. So is his impact on local media as a representative of the points of views of Haitian and other visible minorities in Montreal and Quebecwerldwayd (talk) 01:40, 23 March 2009 (UTC)
