First Nations people win native title to an area including Hutt River.

#Status - Australian Taxation Office
[edit]On 8 August 2020, Channel 9 "60 Minutes" had a story by reporter ("Sir") Brady Halls in which "Prince" Leonard Casley showed on a wall of the reception area not only that letter from the Palace but also annual letters from the Australian Taxation Office, starting in 1996. That for the tax year ending 30 June 2005 states: "Your taxable income is nil" and "You have been deemed to be a non-resident of Australia for income tax purposes—no tax-free threshold is available to non-residents." Predecessor and Successor in Infobox
[edit]Why are the predecessor and successor countries in the infobox the State of Western Australia? Should they not be a sovereign state (ie, Australia)? Arecaceæ2011 (talk) 03:16, 8 October 2021 (UTC)
- I agree. Since, to the extent that it can be said to have existed at all, it was putatively sovereign, not a putatively a part of Australia separate from Western Australia. Its predecessor and successor are the soverign nation that now control the territory. I've changed it. Largoplazo (talk) 02:02, 3 June 2022 (UTC)
Who is Arthur Casley?
[edit]Arthur Casley is mentioned two times in the article, but there's no indication of who he is. Oooooooseven (talk) 01:18, 3 June 2022 (UTC)
- Indeed. I've noted that he's Leonard's son and footnoted it. Largoplazo (talk) 01:58, 3 June 2022 (UTC)
Own-work photographs
[edit]I have several photographs I'd be happy to upload from a personal visit in 2010, including the territory itself, Leonard Casley, the passport visa stamp issued to visitors, etc. What would be of value and interest to this article? ElectronicsForDogs (talk) 09:32, 29 August 2023 (UTC)
- All three of those would be rather good I think ! Jack4576 (talk) 10:56, 29 August 2023 (UTC)
- Thanks! See here, these are all my work: https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/Special:ListFiles?limit=50&user=ElectronicsForDogs&ilshowall=1
- I'm not very good at adding photos to Wiki articles neatly. Might need someone else to do it ElectronicsForDogs (talk) 22:01, 30 August 2023 (UTC)
