columbia pictures television logo
[edit]on h&i, why they don't carry the cpt logo after the cannell productions logo?
- Dude, that's because Columbia Pictures Television (currently known as Sony Pictures Television) never held US distribution rights to this show. Nor was this show produced in association with them. 2601:4C4:4000:A8C0:D142:2053:8A62:E486 (talk) 01:17, 8 May 2024 (UTC)
Untitled
[edit]Is it true that Hunter was produced by both Stephen J. Cannell and Lorimar? I thought Cannell had an exclusive deal with Universal. 71.111.215.224 22:14, 26 March 2006 (UTC) Well yes, but not Lorimar, it is from Sony Pictures Studios, aka Colombia, Tri-Star Television.
In that case, I will clean up and remove the Lorimar references from this article - 104.169.24.205 (talk) 04:03, 26 July 2016 (UTC)
- Sony does not hold US distribution rights to this show. Columbia Pictures and Lorimar might have held some of the international distribution rights to the show prior to the 1990s (Lorimar merged with Telepictures in 1986 and then Warner Bros. in 1989), but neither held US distribution rights, nor was the show produced in association with them. In the US, distribution rights were held by Stephen J. Cannell Productions itself (The independent production company once co-owned a distribution co-venture with Witt/Thomas/Harris Productions and Tri-Star Pictures (the latter originally a co-venture between Columbia Pictures, CBS and HBO) called TeleVentures, which that venture was formed in 1986, only to be dismantled four years later in favor of the independent company forming Cannell Distribution Company). 2601:4C4:4000:A8C0:D142:2053:8A62:E486 (talk) 01:28, 8 May 2024 (UTC)

Fair use rationale for Image:89logo.jpg
[edit]Image:89logo.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.
If there is other other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.Betacommand (talk • contribs • Bot) 04:07, 26 May 2007 (UTC)
- Is it just me, or did anyone else ever notice that Fred Dryer NEVER wore underwear in this series? If he had slacks on, you'd never see anything. But if he wore jeans...WATCH OUT! It was pretty noticable...and QUITE impressive! —Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.202.172.104 (talk) 18:33, 22 September 2007 (UTC)
Season 1 DVD Release
[edit]I just bought the Season 1 box set earlier today at Best Buy for 7.99. But the article says that it's not coming out until January 19! Was it accidentally leaked or something?
EDIT: This is not the Season 1 set released in 2005 and this is, indeed, the Mill Creek set. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Quakegod667 (talk • contribs) 05:20, 11 January 2010 (UTC)
- I just got a Season 1 and Season 2 pack at Target on April 29th and both are clearly marked Mill Creek, so both were released early. 67.150.175.235 (talk) 06:11, 2 May 2010 (UTC)

Season 4 DVD Release
[edit]There is a fourth season with 22 episodes that was released on DVD in 2011. As far as the date, I'm unsure. Here is my source. https://www.amazon.com/Hunter-Complete-Season-Fred-Dryer/dp/B004K9WWAI — Preceding unsigned comment added by 65.199.212.7 (talk) 01:23, 25 July 2016 (UTC)

Hunter (1984 American TV series) → Hunter (1984 TV series) – As of 6 March 2024, this article has had 13,342 views in the past 30 days, versus 171 views for Hunter (1984 Australian TV series) – equating to a ~78:1 pageview ratio. This seems to suggest a WP:PDABPRIMARY. JohnCWiesenthal (talk) 18:30, 6 March 2024 (UTC)
- Oppose Less precise, less recognizable, only slightly more concise - no point. See also Wikipedia_talk:WikiProject_Television/Archive_24#Massive_WP:NCTV_pile-up_of_articles_about_Hunter_TV_series... * Pppery * it has begun... 15:45, 7 March 2024 (UTC)
