Property values and crime in the area
[edit]I take issue with the following line in this article: "Because of its location directly south of Atlantic Station and north of Georgia Tech, it has recently seen an increase in property values and development and a moderate increase in crime.[4]
The footnote references a 2002 article which says nothing about "a moderate increase in crime" resulting from "its location south of Atlantic Station and north of Georgia Tech." That article actually relates the effect of the Atlantic Station development on "traffic congestion, pollution and property values" on the Home Park community, and makes no mention of crime.
If the author contends that the Home Park area has seen "a moderate increase in crime," he should cite a source that actually supports this contention, a source which contains crime statistics specific to this particular neighborhood. This source should document the date range of the increase, and the comparison period it increased against. If, as the referenced article suggests, the increase was due to the Atlantic Station development, it should be noted as to whether the increase assumed by this author was coincident to the development in its initial phase, or has persisted beyond the date of the original article, which is now over ten years old.
Then, in order to make the additional claim that this alleged increase in crime in the Home Park neighborhood resulted specifically from "its location directly south of Atlantic Station and north of Georgia Tech," he should also demonstrate how Home Park's geographic proximity to these communities caused this as yet undocumented increase in crime in Home Park, independent of other factors.
Otherwise, I suggest this claim be removed from the article.
At the very least, the statement should no longer indicate that the area has "recently seen" anything, when the article from which the conclusions are apparently based is over ten years old.

Home Park Boundaries
[edit]I live in Home Park and have been told by the Home Park Community Improvement Association that Home Park's western boundary is Northside Drive. The area between Northside Drive and Howell Mill Rd, that is referred to in the article as Home Park's "commercial district", now belongs to the Marietta Street Artery neighborhood.
I won't correct the article until I find a map I can include as a reference.
