This game was invented by Burton Silver, the inventor of the (fictional) Japanese art of Kokigami and furtling, the (fictional) Victorian erotic art of finger manipulation, and many aspects of this game look somewhat suspicious, for example, the superb flight characteristics of the oval golfball.
However, there are a number of websites worldwide that claim to offer courses for this game. Presumably, if enough people play a game that looks like a spoof game, presumably it becomes a real game...
If this is a real game, can someone provide an independent verifiable source for GolfCross being played by numerous third parties that does not lead back to Brton Silver, his website, his book, or his associates as a source? For example, video footage of GolfCross being played by third parties, or news stories where someone has actually seen it played, oval balls, goals, and all. As ever, blogs don't count. -- Arthur Frayn 11:29, 22 August 2006 (UTC)
