Alma-Ata Observatory was previously linked to the Tien Shan Astronomical Observatory, but that observatory was not established until 1957, three years before Tikhov's death. There was not an extant observatory at the time that Tikhov arrived in Alma-Ata, he was on a detatched expedition from the Pulkovo Observatory to observe the September solar eclipse, and it was decided that the expedition should remain there given the Axis invasion two months earlier was now threatening to push towards the Soviet interior. Tikhov then helped to establish the Observatory "Kamenskoe plateau" over the following years, and remained here for the rest of his life. Neither of the cited sources supports "After undertaking an expedition to Alma-Ata Observatory (210) to observe a solar eclipse" - i.e. that he came to a named observatory, so I've edited the article to reflect this.
