  • He was a multi-sport athlete there, you can drop "there" as it is already implied
  • as they finished, "they" -> "the team"
  • What was the result of the 1960 College All-Star game?
  • He made the Cardinals' roster and appeared in nine games, four to five as a starter,[a] as a rookie, being their second-leading rusher and fifth-leading point scorer with 104 carries for 429 yards (a 4.1 average) and three touchdowns; he also caught three passes for 24 yards and returned three kickoffs for 39 yards as St. Louis went 6–5–1, there is a lot happening in this sentence. Recommend breaking it up into 2 or 3 sentences.
  • National Football League Players Association can be shortened to "NFL Players Association" since you stated the acronym in the lead
  • Ref spot check: 5, 7, 13, 17, 18, 22

Looks good, putting on hold. « Gonzo fan2007 (talk) @ 18:47, 30 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
