Differences section

If we're going to mention the way her character is portrayed in the film, I think it might be a good idea to also mention the differences between the film and the musical (and the book too, for that matter). —Mears man 14:23, 14 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Elle Woods is an interesting, bubbly character who is full of suprises. She discovers her love for the law and wants to become a lawyer. This seemed to come from the fact that she went to Harvard Law School to win back her love of her life. Edit plans

I plan on making a few changes to this article! Let me know if you have any questions or recommendations about my work. In the first paragraph of the “film” section, I find that the article is lacking information on Elle’s character development. Because her development in passions, confidence in her academic ability, and priorities are central to her story and character, I find it crucial that it’s included in this article. I also find that that same paragraph focuses a bit too much on her various boyfriends. I think it’s important to limit discussion of her boyfriends (which currently takes up the entire paragraph) and focus more on the character alone in order to sound more impartial. I will also add some information to fill the gap between Elle discovering Vivian Kensington and exonerating her sorority sister. There are many missing parts that led to Elle’s success as a law student. I will also add a bit more information on the upcoming prequel.

Additionally, I plan on making minor edits to the “lead” section in order to better summarize her legacy and reflect the passages in the article. This will make it more structured and clearer. I also plan on rearranging the “in popular culture” section. I will add a “reception” section that showcases different critic perceptions of Elle. I will also add a section called “in modern feminism” that focuses on Elle’s impact on her female audience. After the movie was released, Elle became a feminist icon and inspiration to many women struggling against similar sexist battles. This is central to understanding her story and legacy and will add to the overall notability of the article. I found reliable feminist literature on her impacts on society which I’ll include. Lastly, I found that in the current article, the only depiction of Elle’s character is the photo, which may not be adequate to encapsulate her character. I plan on adding a “creation/characterization” section. I have very limited information on her creation, but I figure that others can add more as time goes on. I found a ton of information on Elle’s personality and appearance which can help develop the characterization section.
