Correct me if Im wrong: The movie came out in 1997. The scene shows Trinchera standing and charging towards the shooters, when he and Alphonse "Sonny Red" Indelicato gets whacked. Joseph Massino didnt get prosecuted until around five years after the movie came out. Bonanno Boss Massino was fingered as the party guilty for arranging the hit. There was testimony that Trinchera remained standing long enough to attempt to charge towards the shooters. Wasnt the Massino trial years after "Donnie Brasco" was released in theaters? So who was the insider that shared this detail of the hit with the production crew. Obviously there's been loose lips on the streets, and people must have been talking about the Sonny Red-Dominick Trinchera hit for years. 206.192.35.125 (talk) 15:10, 15 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Allow me to add a response to my own question. Its possible that FBI agent Pistone was told details of the hit from various mobsters, during the time of Pistone's undercover work. Though it should be emphazised that according to various documentaries and interviews, allegedly Sonny Black did not want Donnie Brasco at the hit, so Agent Pistone was able to avoid being there. 206.192.35.125 (talk) 19:41, 16 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]
