No consensus to move. Vegaswikian (talk) 19:47, 25 April 2011 (UTC)
David Price (soccer) → David Price (footballer born 1971) – I'm making this request in response to a user making an inappropriate cut-and-paste move of David Price (soccer). I'm not terribly certain on this one so I'll leave it up to community consensus to decide. The Price born in 1971 was born in the UK where appropriate terminology would be "football", but according to the article he spent most of his playing career and his coaching career to the present day in the U.S., where the appropriate terminology is "soccer". The added complication here is that there is an article on a person with the same name who is notable for playing the same sport. I think the simplest thing to do here would be to move the articles as I've requested. An alternate solution could be to keep them where they are and add hatnotes, but that could make it more confusing. —KuyaBriBriTalk 14:28, 18 April 2011 (UTC)
- David Price (footballer) → David Price (footballer born 1955)
- I'd argue against due to the fact that while the subject was born in the UK, he is currently playing in the US and as such probably qualifies for the US name of the sport. In addition I suggest that instead of using birth years, use the team that they are primarily known for (i.e. David Price (footballer) be moved to David Price (Arsenal footballer)) Hasteur (talk) 16:35, 18 April 2011 (UTC)
- I'm not going to outright oppose, but I don't think it's really necessary. It could more easily be solved with hatnotes, IMHO. Jenks24 (talk) 11:41, 19 April 2011 (UTC)
- Oppose Titles too long and do not conform to current styles. It works as is. Ng.j (talk) 02:30, 22 April 2011 (UTC)
