Prefects
[edit]Is it really necessary or appropriate to list out all the current prefects? There's something about listing non-notable minors which just doesn't sit well with me. As a test, I clicked on all the schools in the above WP Schools box and none of them lists current students, only notable former students. I really think the prefects section should be removed and only notable former students should be listed. Sarah Ewart (Talk) 11:46, 2 April 2006 (UTC)
I totally agree, Sarah. It's exactly what I was thinking should be removed before I even came onto the talk page. It is irrelevant to knowledge about the school. I say we delete the specific boys names - but perhaps keep the top line about how prefects are elected and place it in another part of the article. Jpeob (Talk) 11:35, 24 April 2006 (EST)
Welcome to "Schools"
[edit]Good page. Initial assessment is above. Well done. As you note your page is not yet in Wiki style but has a lot of information. Victuallers 15:24, 17 March 2007 (UTC)
Day boy houses
[edit]I am wondering why the details of the day boy houses have been significantly condensed (though the same not done to the boarding houses) -- was this a conscious editorial decision, or yet another incidence of vandalism? (Personally, I prefer the expanded version that used to be there -- there doesn't seem to be any space constraint issue with this page, and the information about the namesakes of the houses is interesting and informative.) Anti Semitic Incidents
[edit]Anti Semetic Incidents happened at the school and were covered by notable sources. This is a noteworthy addition to the page. As uncomfortable as this is, there is no reason for removing sourced material from the page. In fact, this is the very reason it should stay on the page. MaskedSinger (talk) 17:44, 14 November 2022 (UTC)
There is bias in the way the incident is reported. Wik-ed100 (talk) 21:43, 21 November 2022 (UTC)
- I don't see anything wrong with the source that was provided. Masked Singer, you might want to add that the school denied delays and maybe mention that the school was working with organisation such as NSW Jewish Board of Deputies? Knitsey (talk) 06:43, 22 November 2022 (UTC)
- @Knitsey I don't see anything wrong either. Do you want to try adding something? Either way, you agree that just deleting it is not the way to go? MaskedSinger (talk) 15:19, 23 November 2022 (UTC)
- @Wik-ed100 What exactly is the bias? MaskedSinger (talk) 15:18, 23 November 2022 (UTC)
- No, you can write it. I might be wrong but Wik-ed100 might be referring to what you wrote? You need to ensure you reflect what the source says. That the school say its dealt with and how. If I remember correctly your edit didn't mention that the school is working towards tackling antisemitism etc. So include the salient points of the article without copying it. - @Knitsey Just added. If you could please take a look. Thanks! MaskedSinger (talk) 08:44, 24 November 2022 (UTC)
- @Wik-ed100: that looks neutral enough to me? Knitsey (talk) 13:33, 24 November 2022 (UTC)
- Thanks very much @Knitsey. Much appreciated. Wik-ed100 (talk) 00:33, 25 November 2022 (UTC)

Houses
[edit]What is a "ten-day boy house"? I don't understand "ten-day". David10244 (talk) 17:37, 25 November 2022 (UTC)
- Lol I never noticed that. I am assuming it should say ten day-pupil house? As in not the boys who board houses? Not sure how to word that. I will look at the website. Knitsey (talk) 17:58, 25 November 2022 (UTC)
- That looks clearer now? Knitsey (talk) 18:04, 25 November 2022 (UTC)
- @Knitsey Yes, except 12 things are listed in the chart below that.
- There's also this: "There are currently twelve-day houses..." I'll change that one, but I'm not sure about the first one, above the chart. The last two entries look different. David10244 (talk) 05:51, 26 November 2022 (UTC)
- @Knitsey Also, my brain went to all sorts of strange places trying to figure out what a "ten-day boy house" would be. David10244 (talk) 05:52, 26 November 2022 (UTC)
- I fixed "twelve-day houses", and I think both mentions refer to the same set of houses. I'll change the one above the table to say "twelve". If you know how to fix the last two entries in the table, that would be great. David10244 (talk) 05:56, 26 November 2022 (UTC)
- I can count, honest lol. I've removed the last two as they were not on the school list. It will change if they admit girls but that can wait until the school confirms. Thanks for checking through it. Knitsey (talk) 13:23, 26 November 2022 (UTC)
- That makes sense, @Knitsey. I haven't checked; do both mentions of "twelve" need to be changed, or did you do that? David10244 (talk) 00:45, 28 November 2022 (UTC)
- Yes I've changed them both. I don't know why the extra houses were there but it should be sorted now. Knitsey (talk) 11:24, 28 November 2022 (UTC)
