I noticed this article when it was vandalized. I am curious as to whether what this article currently describes is a hoax. Geo Swan (talk) 22:20, 3 May 2008 (UTC)
- No, this article as currently described is not a hoax. This piercing is used in the BDSM community, sometimes with an actual lock, sometimes with just a captive bead ring. As a BDSM practitioner and piercer I would really have liked to see more information about the safety implications of wearing this type of piercing. If you are going to wear a lock in the piercing, it should be made of a hypoallergenic substance and designed to be worn as body jewelry. Also, I think the picture of the pierced penis should be removed, as it clearly shows a typical padlock you can buy at a hardware store. A lock like the one shown this should NEVER be worn in a body piercing as infection and tissue necrosis can result. 184.78.162.36 (talk) 05:18, 27 January 2012 (UTC)
I don't think that picture should be there, I came here thinking it was something like a regular piercing in the ears. I really didn't want to see that pic. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 201.215.88.150 (talk) 18:56, 24 January 2011 (UTC)
