Untitled

[edit]

I am working on bringing this page up to date with better, more accurate information and a more Wikified look. Any input and help are welcomed. If you contribute, I would appreciate it if you could post a (signed!) note on this page detailing what you have done. Thank you, Fuscob 03:45, 18 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

what tech from NASA is being talked about?

"Everyone knows what this technology was, as it was famously inherited. I don't need to tell you it was equipped with an anti-gravity bidet, because you already know that. It was technology famously inherited from NASA."

Model lineup

[edit]

I removed the model lineup table because I felt that it was overly detailed. I don't believe that people need to know that level of detail in an enyclopedia article. That said, I am working on a section describing the engines offered in the E38 that will include similar information. Comments are welcome here or on my Talk page. Why does the non-USA model list exclude the 740i, 740iL, 750i and 750iL variants? These were definitely available in Ireland and the UK, and I'd be very surprised if they weren't offered on the continent. Seems like a very odd omission. --Dahamsta (talk) 17:47, 12 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

E38 Total Production

[edit]

Anyone have a source for these numbers? I may try and work them into the already made table.Case (talk) 02:40, 19 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Design.

[edit]

It seems to me they stole the design from Honda_Legend#Second_generation_(KA7/KA8,_1990–1995). --Yomal Sidoroff-Biarmskii (talk) 14:14, 5 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]

They do look similar, but much of the E38's design language was carried over from its predecessor, the E32 which predated the Legend significantly. I think that the integration of the grille into the hood is really the only new bit of design shared with the Legend, but that concept was not invented by Toyota, the Mercedes-Benz W126 had the grille attached to the hood in 1979. Pferdstarke ratings

[edit]

Hello Mr.Choppers,

Regarding the edit summary stating "restore correct units", I believe that the edit is in accordance with WP:CARUNITS. The engines section does not include any references providing only Pferdstarke (PS) ratings, therefore there is no supporting evidence that this then-obsolete unit is required. Regards, MrsSnoozyTurtle 08:35, 13 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]

I have responded at Talk:BMW 6 Series (E24)#Engine specifications many months ago. Also, see WP:OWN for your behavior at BMW articles where you seem to be trying to attempt a SnoozyTurtle style which has nothing to do with the rest of the project.  Mr.choppers | ✎  13:05, 13 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Hello Mr.Choppers. You are free to believe whatever you like, however I note that no references have been provided to support the inclusion of Pferdstarke units in this article. Regards, MrsSnoozyTurtle 08:51, 16 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]
I've restored the article back to the status quo as your edits are disputed. Please don't remove sourced content from the article (and things you do want removed discuss it to get further opinion on it as some editors may have access to books or newspapers etc etc). –Davey2010Talk 11:08, 7 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

735i production year

[edit]

The 735i was introduced in 1995, so how come it is in 1996? (Referring to Model year changes) SlowE38 (talk) 18:36, 14 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]
