Last to serve without being elected Mayor??
[edit]Is Kline really the last man to become Mayor of NYC by being elected to another office? What about Joseph V. McKee (who took over after Jimmy Walker fled the country in 1932) or Vincent Impellitteri (who took over after William O'Dwyer did the same in 1950)?
This may be right, but I'm just confused. Shakescene (talk)
Any details of Kline's views or actions?
[edit]I think that, working co-operatively from what's easily available, we've successfully completed the rather bare, colorless outline of Kline's career, but can anyone come up with some significant achievements or striking opinions in his rather short terms of office? And what exactly did he do in the Spanish-American War? Shakescene (talk) 10:05, 28 May 2008 (UTC)
Still a stub?
[edit]Do we still need to call this article a stub? (see bottom of the main article's page.) Shakescene (talk) 10:56, 28 May 2008 (UTC)
Page move etiquette
[edit]I don't disagree with using Ardolph L. Kline (or Ardolph Kline) for this article's title, but it still would have been nice if someone had first put a notice on this article's talk page (and maybe the talk pages of closely-related articles, like Mayor of NYC, List of mayors of NYC and NYC mayoral elections), so we could see what arguments if any there might have been for keeping Loges in the title. Insofar as this article has grown out of a tiny stub, I've been its main author, and I only heard of this after the fact. —— Shakescene (talk) 13:16, 8 February 2013 (UTC)
