Question

[edit]

Is this place a CDP or a township? Or is it a Township that is a CDP? If it is a township and administered as a Township I believe that the page should be Annville Township is Annville as a redirect. Dincher (talk) 18:06, 21 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

It's both (see http://www2.census.gov/geo/maps/general_ref/cousub_outline/cen2k_pgsz/pa_cosub.pdf, searching for Annville). There are several townships in Pennsylvania that are this way, but I've never before seen duplicate articles; it's always like Patterson Township, Pennsylvania, which has no corresponding Patterson, Pennsylvania article. The standard practice is to make the township first (that's the governmental designation), and list it on the template only as a township. Nyttend (talk) 21:09, 21 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for the fixes, references and explanation. I had thought you'd be the one who knew the answer. Dincher (talk) 21:39, 21 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

"Was a township and CDP"

[edit]

If Annville was a township and CDP, and is no more, shouldn't the article say what happened to it? Was it dissolved? Merged into another township? Became something else? The article is silent. --CPAScott (talk) 15:32, 21 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]
