[edit]There are many areas that I hope to expand this article. First, I would like to expand on the biography section, adding more about Anne's childhood. I would like to separate the article and add more sections. I would like to have a section devoted to her education. I would like to have another section for her research and published articles. I would like to synthesize my sources and bulk up the information that is given. I also plan to explore the sources that have already been used and make sure the existing information is credible and properly cited. I hope to provide developed and properly cited information. If I can find enough information, I would also like to create a section for her honors and awards. If anyone has any critiques or ideas for me, please let me know on this talk page. I want to make this article the best it can be. Claire.l.m (talk) 21:30, 5 November 2016 (UTC)
Bibliography
[edit]I have compiled a list of sources I plan to use to add to the article. As my research continues, this bibliography will expand and more sources will be incorporated.
-"An Overview of the Design, Implementation, and Analyses of Longitudinal Studies on Aging" is one of Newman's modern works, published in 2010. I will use it to provide information into her research of geriatrics and the science behind aging.
-The Epidemiology of Aging is another one of Newman's works, in which she was a contributor. Newman theorized what aspects of age and health can be controlled. I plan to incorporate this in her article as well. [2]
-In "Is the Onset of Obesity the Same as Aging?" Newman addresses the connection between aging and a slower metabolism. This is another aspect of how Newman studied aging in many different facets.
-I am planning to use this on-line news article "Anne B. Newman, M.D., M.P.H., Appointed Chair of Epidemiology at Pitt's Graduate School of Public Health," to further explain her career, credentials, and awards, which are given in this University of Pittsburg online article. [4]

- The issue with the sources you have listed is that they do not fit WP guidelines. They appear to be primary sources by the subject of the biography. WP does not allow primary source materials to be used for biographies of living persons unless that material has been covered in reliable secondary sources. Wikipedia:No original research#Primary, secondary and tertiary sources To include the material you have indicated you wish to include, you would need to find articles in newspapers, journals or books by other people discussing her research, career, etc. SusunW (talk) 16:39, 21 November 2016 (UTC)

Peer Review
[edit]Claire, I was very impressed to see all the research you have already been able to acquire and summarize into Wikipedia. You did a great job with the biography section, it was very insightful and not overly complex, letting the reader get a general view of what work Newman has accomplished. Your sources are neutral and I did not see that they created any bias in your article! To see the way you outlined your information in chronological order helped me get a better idea of how I will present my information in my article. One suggestion I have would be to create a career section. You could move some of the information presented in the biography section to the career, which gives a little bit more of a clear structure for the article. Overall, I was impressed to see neutral content, reliable sources, and your lead section was very easy to follow. Great job! Madison King (talk) 01:52, 21 November 2016 (UTC)
- Madison King For the sake of your project and as a learning tool, you should look at the history page. Claire hasn't added anything yet. The article with very few changes, stands as I originally wrote it. Maybe Claire needs help in adding her information? SusunW (talk) 02:04, 21 November 2016 (UTC)
Claire, overall I feel like your article is off to a good start. I like the way you have the biography planned out to where readers can actually understand what you are going to be discussing and that it's not too complicated. You were very straight forward and neutral so to speak. This article will flow very nicely once you get the heading and everything lined out and if you keep the same neutral flow that you have going.
