While trying to find some profiles on this guy to flesh it out a bit, I found that the Andrew Wilson that played for Partick Thistle in this era was a left back and played solidly for that club between 1897 and 1905 (detailed season by season summary here onwards). But it does say that he arrived at Thistle from 'Strathclyde/Sunderland', and the Motherwell ref I found mirrors what was on here already: Strathclyde, Sunderland, Partick, Motherwell, Partick. I am concerned that the records of two players have been merged together somewhere along the line due to the common name and possibly sharing at least one club along the way. If anyone reading this can try to find out more him/them, please do so. Crowsus (talk) 09:02, 2 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Further to this, now have the John Litster Pre War Scottish League Players files, and they show Andrew Wilson 1 making league appearances for Motherwell in 1899/1900, and Andrew Wilson 2 making appearances for Partick in the same year. I'll be having another look into splitting this, although i have very little further info on either guy unfortunately. Crowsus (talk) 23:55, 24 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]
