Please review the deletion discussion for this article. The consensus was that there is no demonstration of notability independent of the band. If you disagree with that consensus, please take it to deletion review. Thanks. - SummerPhD (talk) 03:49, 23 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]
@TheWarOfArt:, I'm not sure what this edit was intended to accomplish. I do not see an entry for this article (or the prior variant) at deletion review. - SummerPhD (talk) 00:20, 24 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]

@TheWarOfArt:: Yes, that is the deletion discussion in question. "The result was merge to The Agonist." You aren't really making a case for keeping this. Please explain. - SummerPhD (talk) 05:28, 27 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Do you think it lacks notability? There is certainly non-trivial coverage in reliable third party sources outside of her work with her band. If you want to get specific, per notability guidelines for a musician, she meets at least 4: Has been a featured subject of a substantial broadcast segment across a national radio or TV network, Has won or placed in a major music competition, Has received non-trivial coverage in independent reliable sources of an international concert tour, or a national concert tour in at least one sovereign country, Has been the subject of multiple, non-trivial, published works appearing in sources that are reliable, not self-published, and are independent from the musician or ensemble itself — Preceding unsigned comment added by TheWarOfArt (talkcontribs) 15:17, 27 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Now she's notable. XXN (talk) 01:31, 24 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Alissa White GluzAlissa White-Gluz – Her real, correct name. XXN (talk) 01:31, 24 March 2014 (UTC) XXN (talk) 01:31, 24 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]

  • Move and merge histories. I agree; I cannot find the unhyphenated variant anywhere on an official page. Her Facebook and Twitter accounts, and press coverage (as far as I have checked) all seems to use exclusively the hyphen. Note however: This is a recreation of the previously existing article at Alissa White-Gluz that was deleted for lack of notability. I think that this deletion needs to be undone as the press coverage after the change to Arch Enemy appears to justify an article of her own now. The best solution would probably be to merge the page histories. --Florian Blaschke (talk) 22:18, 3 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Notability has been established at Alissa White Gluz using the following notability guidelines: Has been a featured subject of a substantial broadcast segment across a national radio or TV network, Has won or placed in a major music competition, Has received non-trivial coverage in independent reliable sources of an international concert tour, or a national concert tour in at least one sovereign country, Has been the subject of multiple, non-trivial, published works appearing in sources that are reliable, not self-published, and are independent from the musician or ensemble itself. You added a header to this page stating that the redirect is being discussed at Wikipedia:Redirects for discussion. It is not. Why did you add the header? - SummerPhD (talk) 01:47, 1 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]

White-Gluz vs The Agonist dispute

[edit]

Apparently this is going to run run and run. Currently the article gives a large amount of detail about Alissa's side of the dispute and doesn't mention the band's response at all. I'm not sure that documenting the vulgar details of either perspective really add anything to the article - to quote Tuomas Holopainen, "It's not politics - it's a rock band." May I suggest we trim this back to a single paragraph noting that the dispute took place? What do others think? Eggybacon (talk) 08:56, 30 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Canadian Idol

[edit]

No mention of the fact that she auditioned for Canadian Idol. Shouldn't this be mentioned? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2A00:23C4:B69F:4200:B051:C4D6:E23:5DFF (talk) 13:26, 4 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Of course it should be mentioned but it might get deleted by her management because it can't be marketed as well as her being a holocaust survivor.
