This Kko Fatal tribe's name is (Al-Dafier) and not Zver

[edit]

These tribes, and I know them. Write a letter in Arabic (ظ) and is not available in English so enlisted the letter which is closest (d). Should be re-the former name of this article. Then it's not an Iraqi tribe. --The arabin wolf (talk) 13:59, 8 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

The transliteration used on Wikipedia for Arabic: ظ is ; see Wikipedia:Manual of Style (Arabic) for details of the recommended system (modified ALA).
I've created a redirect from al-Dhafeer to this page for those who use that transliteration system.
If you had any sources for this article, it would be good to add them. I changed the article to say that the tribe is not Iraqi, but is (mostly) Saudi Arabian; is that correct?

The article is now correct: ز is z and ظ is , so الظفير is al-ẓafīr. The article is available at al-Ẓafīr, al-Zafir, and al-Dhafeer, with the main article at the version with the diacritics stripped off, so al-Zafir.
The sites you have linked are using a different way of converting Arabic into the Latin alphabet.
Thanks for the other information, I will add it to the article.
All the best. –Syncategoremata (talk) 09:56, 9 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

My friend this label approved in the United Nations, which Nskhaddmha We are the children of the tribe. Request re-former name of the article. And I hope that you understand my position.

See Romanization of Arabic, and specifically Romanization of Arabic#Comparison table. Wikipedia mostly follows ALA-LC, but as you can see, in this particular example virtually all Arabic transliteration systems write ظ as ẓ (or its variants; note in particular that the United Nations system uses z̧). Dh is commonly used as a transliteration of ﺫ, rather than ظ.—Emil J. 15:15, 9 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Request re-former name of the article. I am the owner and put the name used in the literature. And also in the tribe. Please understand my point of view and re-former name.
