Objection of Proposed Deletion
[edit]Hello, @Howard the Duck. I would like to respectfully oppose the proposed deletion of yours to this article, citing concerns related to its failing of WP:BANDMEMBER. While I understand the concerns about her notability in the context of her association with Bini, I believe the article demonstrates significant independent notability that warrants its retention.
Independent Notability
- Miss Silka Philippines - Her crowning as Miss Silka Philippines 2018 was a notable achievement that garnered substantial media attention and coverage. I believe that this recognition highlights her prominence in pageants long before she joined the group.
- Media coverage and references independent of the main article - I have used 11 references, which are independent or have not been used in the Bini (group). While some of these primarily cover the group as a whole, it also covers Aiah individually for her career, such as her unsuccessful auditions for Pinoy Big Brother: Otso and Darna, her appearance in Jeremy G's music video for the song "Bini", and her role as the featured artist in the remix version of the same song.
These activities and media coverage, while small in scale relative to what is commonly known as notable, demonstrate that Aiah has achieved a significant public profile separate from her work with their group, supporting her notability as an individual.
The content of this article is also distinct from that of the main group's article. It includes substantial information and references about her achievements and experiences, ensuring that the article is not merely a duplicate of the group’s content but rather a focused account of her accomplishments.
I recognize that you may still find these insufficient to establish her notability. However, I believe that the coverage and achievements highlighted provide a compelling case for her independent notability. For now, I will not remove the PROD message until I hear your thoughts or feedback regarding my rationale. Thank you. AstrooKai (Talk • Contribs) 12:27, 23 August 2024 (UTC)
- Just remove the PROD. I'd just bring this to WP:AFD in a month or so. Howard the Duck (talk) 12:45, 23 August 2024 (UTC)
- Her winning a beauty pageant I've never heard of before, failed participation in a reality show, bit appearance in a TV show and a music video doesn't really move the needle if I say so. Howard the Duck (talk) 12:49, 23 August 2024 (UTC)
- If you want to learn about her winning in the beauty pageant, you can read these articles from Rappler, ABS-CBN News (independent of her since she wasn't an auditionee during that time), PEP.ph, and Cosmo.ph. Though these news articles are labelled as promotional articles for the brand, which falls under WP:SPONSORED, ultimately failing WP:RS.
- Overall, while these do not strongly justify the retention of the article, I appreciate your action in pointing out the issues regarding the article's notability. Your insights are valuable and will certainly guide me in the future. Thank you again. AstrooKai (Talk • Contribs) 13:18, 23 August 2024 (UTC)

Aiah (singer) → Aiah – Currently, the link Aiah redirects to List of minor Hebrew Bible figures, A–K#Aiah, which contains only a brief mention of the biblical figure. In contrast, Aiah (the subject of this article) refers to a member of the Philippine girl group Bini, which has already established notability. In addition to the group's prominence, the singer herself is individually notable, particularly for her personal project "Aiahdvocacy", which has received significant coverage from various Philippine media outlets. The singer has considerably more notability than the biblical figure, and no other notable individuals have an article beginning with "Aiah". Given the singer's greater notability, I believe the "(singer)" disambiguator is also unnecessary, and these satisfies the criteria outlined in WP:PRIMARYTOPIC.
