Sunday games & rain
[edit]@Stan394, Mastergerwe97, and Tampabay721: Rain.... very dry summer and it finally decides to rain during the LLWS! [I live about 90 minutes away and spent a day at the games in 2018.] Have any of you folks seen an updated schedule after several games have been suspended or not even started today? If it weren't for tonight MLB game, they could resume later today. But I realize they want the kids to spend time with the MLB players so they won't push it that close to the 7 PM MLB game time.
I just updated the Curaçao v. Italy information. At this point, it appears that all information is as up-to-date as possible, just waiting for the official announcement on the resumption of play.
Happy editing; you all are doing a great job! Bob305 (talk) 19:58, 21 August 2022 (UTC)
- @Stan394, Mastergerwe97, and Tampabay721: Until next year! It's been a pleasure editing with you during the LLWS. I had to cut back a bit in the final days as the real life job began again (i.e. school opened). Bob305 (talk) 21:06, 29 August 2022 (UTC)
Mercy Run rule
[edit]@Stan394: Thanks for the link. Yes, I would agree that we should call it the "run rule" because this is what the LL website calls it.[1] I think a link to the LL website would be good for each of those spots. I'll get to it shortly unless you beat me to it. It's been a pleasure editing with you today. Bob305 (talk) 04:58, 23 August 2022 (UTC)

I would support referring to it as the run rule. When I played, even though I despised it I still referred to it as the "10 run rule". I don't think we need a reference in each box score though. Tampabay721 (talk) 05:15, 23 August 2022 (UTC)
