I've started to rewrite and expand this article, because it lacks information about the second earthquake and the tectonics section is missing a great deal and is a copy and paste job from the public domain USGS source. There are many available sources (thanks to Dawnseeker2000 for pointing out some of them) so this may take quite a while as I sort through them to produce some sort of coherent narrative. There are many different epicentral locations for the two mainshocks given in both catalogues and journal papers written later. About the only thing that the papers do all agree on is that the 1 November earthquake is more or less 6 km west of the 31 October event, with the area of aftershocks strung out between them. In contrast, the ANSS give locations that have a more north south alignment, although none of the academic groups has repeated that finding. Mikenorton (talk) 10:38, 26 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]
