The Ticket t+ is the standard single trip ticket for Paris public transit. It can be bought from ticket machines or staffed counters, but not on board buses. As of 2024, it is available as a single paper ticket at the price of €2.15.[1] Since 2019, the ticket can also be loaded onto a reusable Navigo Easy card, which can be purchased for €2 at staffed ticket counters and select ticket vending machines. When using Navigo Easy, the ticket is also available as a pack of 10 (a carnet) at a reduced price of €17.35. Starting 2021, Île-de-France Mobilités is in the process of phasing out the use of paper tickets, and as of September 2023 has discontinued offering a carnet discount for paper tickets.[2] A reduced-price carnet is available for children under 10 years old and some other groups[3] for €8.65 (when loaded onto Navigo Easy).

Sale of the ticket t+ will be discontinued at the end of 2024.[4]

Exceptions and details on use

[edit]

On the Métro and rail network, the Ticket t+ is valid for a single trip, allowing for connections (between Métro and RER lines) for a duration of 90 minutes, until the user leaves the ticketed station areas. The ticket is not valid on RER lines outside the city limits of Paris (zone 1), while it is valid on the Métro network even outside the city limits.

On the bus and tramway network, the Ticket t+ is valid for a single trip of any length, allowing for transfers to other bus and tramway lines for a duration of 90 minutes between the first and the last validation. The ticket cannot be used for a return trip using the same line, and cannot be used to board the same line after interrupting a trip.[1] Transfers to or from the Métro/rail network are not permitted.

The ticket is not valid for the Orlybus and Roissybus airport bus shuttles, Orlyval, express tram lines, nor to Orly Airport on Metro line 14. It is also not valid for trips on the RER and Transilien that leave the city limits (Zone 1), including trips to La Défense, the airports, Versailles, or Disneyland Paris. For these trips, a paper ticket billet origine-destination needs to be purchased.
