Maidan is an originally Persian word for a town square or public gathering place, used in many place names.

• Maidan (2014 film), a documentary film about the Maidan Uprising
• Maidan, after Euromaidan and Revolution of Dignity happened, some media, politicians and later residents of post-Soviet countries began to call any mass protests in post-Soviet countries such as protests in Belarus in 2020-2021, protests in Kazakhstan in 2022, protests in Georgia in 2024 a «Maidan». Synonymous with the Colour revolution.
