"Look... The Sun Is Rising" is the first track from the Flaming Lips thirteenth studio album, The Terror. It was released on March 3, 2013, as the first and only single from the album.

Reception

[edit]

The song received mostly positive reviews, with Spin Magazine saying "it's decidedly darker in tone. Still, 'Look… the Sun is Rising' is filled with musical promise: adopting a deeply psychedelic tact, the Lips employ clanging drums, angular guitars, whirring keys, and moody atmospherics to create an immersive and enigmatic sound. Coyne buries himself in the midst of it, singing quietly of the strange magic that the right horizon can impart."[1]

Stereogum stated that it is "an eerie, clanking thing that would've fit perfectly well into Embryonic".[2]
