Willem van Kooten (Dutch pronunciation: [ˈʋɪləɱ vɑŋ ˈkoːtə(n)]; 7 January 1941 – 3 January 2025) was a Dutch businessman and DJ under the name Joost den Draaijer (pronounced [ˈjoːz dɛn ˈdraːiər]).[1] He was born in Hilversum.[2]

His son Eelko van Kooten is the founder of the Warner Music Group division Spinnin' Records.

Van Kooten died on 3 January 2025, four days before his 84th birthday.[3]
