Jess Steele was born in the United Kingdom. She now lives and works in Hastings, where she played a leading role in the saving of Hastings Pier[2].[citation needed]

Career

Steele is a community activist who has been involved in a number of projects in the Hastings area. Over thirty years, she has been working with communities, creatives, governments, funders, corporations, and academics to transform neighbourhoods[3].
