She played high school soccer for Edina High School, which she helped reach the state semifinals in 2021, finish runner-up in 2022, and go undefeated 22–0 and claim the state championship in 2023. She totaled 41 goals with 11 assists that year, including a hat trick in a 4–2 win in the semifinals and a brace in a 2–1 win in the final. [edit]Engle scored a hat trick in her second game for the Notre Dame Fighting Irish in 2024, a 6–0 win over Samford, making her the first Notre Dame freshman with a hat trick since Melissa Henderson in 2008.[6] She quickly emerged as the team's top scorer with ten goals in her first seven games.[7] She recorded six multi-goal games in the regular season, including a brace in a 3–3 draw to No. 1 Duke.[8] She scored in a 2–1 loss to Florida State in the ACC tournament quarterfinals.[9] She was recognized as the Atlantic Coast Conference freshman of the year and named first-team All-ACC.[8]
International career
