- Manyisa Samson, then you're at the wrong website. This is an encyclopedia. ~~ OxonAlex - talk 13:16, 16 December 2019 (UTC)

- Hello Princess e nice,
- This is an encyclopedia, and although we have many articles about philosophy, we are not a website for asking philosophical questions. ~~ OxonAlex - talk 13:18, 16 December 2019 (UTC)

- Not done: it's not clear what changes you want to be made. Please mention the specific changes in a "change X to Y" format and provide a reliable source if appropriate. Danski454 (talk) 00:37, 24 July 2020 (UTC)
How to replace media
This article does not explain how to replace images/videos/audio files. In fact, I couldn't find any information anywhere. Would be nice if a section for that could be added. BookRings (talk) — Preceding undated comment added 06:53, 26 February 2022 (UTC)
- @BookRings, with wiki markup, the process for replacing is basically just removing the old image and adding in the new. {{u|Sdkb}} talk 07:15, 26 February 2022 (UTC)
- @Sdkb, that would not be replacing the media, but *adding new media and changing the reference* - similar to creating a new wiki page and changing all links to the new page, while the old one still exists and is technically not connected to the new one. BookRings (talk)
- @BookRings: Oh, you mean replace replace! To do that, you'd need to go to the file page on Wikimedia Commons and then click "upload new version" and go through the steps there. But that's a pretty rare situation, especially given that you're not supposed to overwrite files except in very limited circumstances. So I'd say we might want to add a note about it in a more advanced help page like WP:Images, but it doesn't need to be in the beginner tutorial. Cheers, {{u|Sdkb}} talk 17:03, 13 March 2022 (UTC)
- @SdkbThanks for the clarification. It would then also be helpful to explain why `You cannot overwrite this file` stated here: https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Deutsch_Dialog_._Ich_bin_Peter.ogg BookRings (talk)
- @BookRings: If Commons isn't letting you override the file, it could be because you lack the relevant permissions, you are trying to upload a replacement with a different extension, or something else. I'd suggest posting at commons:Commons:Village pump and asking them to improve their user interface. Cheers, {{u|Sdkb}} talk 06:08, 14 March 2022 (UTC)
