Bug: Traceback (no attribute "type") when exporting article to ODF

This issue is resolved.

Creating a new book (title "Test", no chapters) with a particular article (http://nl.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pater_Damiaan) fails with a traceback

... File "/home/mwlib/py25/lib/python2.5/site-packages/mwlib-0.12.8-py2.5-linux-x86_64.egg/mwlib/odfwriter.py", line 85, in addElement log("ParagraphProxy:addElement() ", e.type, "not allowed in any parents, failed, should have been added to", self.type) AttributeError: Element instance has no attribute 'type' ...

Steps to reproduce:

 - go to the article
 - start the book creator in the left menu (afdrukken/exporteren - boek maken)
 - add the article http://nl.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pater_Damiaan
 - click on the "boek weergeven" link in the book creator bar on top of the page
 - add a title "test"
 - choose format OpenDocument Text
 - export

Exporting to PDF works just fine, and creating a new book with other articles (http://nl.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nobelprijs_voor_de_Vrede) also works.

Loading a book and modifying via Book tool itself

Is this possible? I.e. can I open the tool then load a book directly from there, rather than open the book and load it into the tool using the load button? --Jubilee♫clipman 01:53, 11 December 2009 (UTC)

You need to click the load button regardless of whether the book tool is open or not. The result is the same either way. Headbomb {ταλκκοντριβς – WP Physics} 05:21, 11 December 2009 (UTC)
To clarify: there is no load book button in the tool which opens a browser window, therefore load book in the banner on the the book's WP article page is the only way to open the book for editing? Example: I can open WMP and use the <Open..> dialogue to browse to a video or I can simply double click the video's icon – assuming it's associated with WMP. We only have the equivalent of the latter option for books? Actually, that makes sense given that eventually there will be millions of books... --Jubilee♫clipman 17:18, 11 December 2009 (UTC)

Sections and subsections

There is a ticket for this issue.

Is there any way to create sections (called chapters here) and then subsections? I have edited directly from the book page and added several semicolons to each section to distribute it as I wanted. This was OK when I saw it on the book page, but not when I rendered it on PDF. Any help? Thanks a lot! Stunt21 (talk) 23:29, 9 February 2010 (UTC)

This is not supported for now, but the request has been made. See the link in the redbox. Headbomb {ταλκκοντριβς – WP Physics} 04:00, 10 February 2010 (UTC)
Thank you very much, Headbomb, another thing I learn ;) Stunt21 (talk) 00:00, 12 February 2010 (UTC)
