Gerson Guimarães Ferreira Júnior (born 7 January 1992), commonly known as Gerson, is a Brazilian professional footballer who plays as a centre back for Romanian Liga II club Concordia Chiajna.[1]

Career

He started his professional career with Botafogo in 2010. In January 2011, he joined the youth team of Dutch giants PSV Eindhoven on loan. After a six-month stint with PSV youth, he signed a loan deal with Segunda División B side Atlético Madrid B in July. Gerson joined Austrian side Kapfenberg in 2012, being loaned first to Rapid Wien and then to Ferencváros. In January 2014, he was transferred to Petrolul Ploiești.[2]
