This illustration does not accurately portray either Persians or Medes, and calling it an artistic impression of either would be a stretch. Suggesting removal from Wikipedia as, either way, there appears to be a Copyright issue.Janus945 (talk) 17:35, 24 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]

The illustration was originally published in the nineteenth-century magazine Münchener Bilderbogen at some point between 1861 and 1880 -- and MB went out of business in 1898. The image has long since gone into the public domain. DS (talk) 13:05, 23 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]
