Fair use claim

The following discussion is an archived debate of the proposed deletion of a fair use image as a replaceable image. Please do not modify it.

The result was to delete the image. Non-free images of living people are normally considered replaceable, please see WP:NFC#UUI point 1. January (talk) 18:25, 2 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]

This orphaned talk page, subpage, image page, or similar is not eligible for speedy deletion under CSD G8 as it has been asserted to be useful to Wikipedia.
If you believe it should be deleted, please nominate it on Wikipedia:Miscellany for deletion.

I was asked to upload this image here by ‎Amanraj6 (talk · contribs) who was having problems with it on Commons. The file in question has since been deleted as fair use. I cropped the original to roughly the same proportions and uploaded it as fair use as the editor claimed it had no license attached. I am not sure that she has an understanding that a file cannot simply be uploaded "without any licensing/copyright issue". I have tried to comply with the fair use standards.--Auric talk 02:59, 21 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]
