Summary

Description
English: This is excerpted from a sketch of Michelangelo's Last Judgement made by Gustave J. Witkowski during one of his journeys in Italy. The original fresco shows (near the right border) a daemon trying to pull a man down by grabbing the fabric he is wearing, but because of the shadow in the original in this sketch Witkowski left out the daemon's fist. Because of the ambiguity of the sketch, some have seen a fisting act and have erroneously titled it The Punishment of Sodomy.
