Summary

Description
English: Photo of a Wilberforce pendulum, a coupled mechanical oscillator consisting of a weight suspended from a helical spring that is free to both bob up and down and rotate back and forth about its vertical axis with torsional vibrations. It is mounted on a stand for use in physics demonstrations. The weight consists of two adjustable masses mounted on a horizontal threaded rod that can be screwed in or out to adjust the torsional vibration period of the weight.
